Welcome again to Psychopomp.org Well, a new festival season has begun. Wiccan Fest and Summer Solstice are over and we're suddenly in the throws of a summer heat wave. Although Jay and I didn't get the chance (again) to attend Wiccan Fest we did have a few commuters from the Ottawa area come and stay over night on their way to the fest last Tuesday and then again stopped by on the way back through to Ottawa on Sunday and by all accounts it was another successful fest. Congratulations to all the organizers of Wiccan Fest for their time and dedication.
On another note, Rikki LaCoste has embraced another project. Panthea, the Bardic Guild of Psychopomp is taking part in EarthBeat this September 7th. EarthBeat in Ottawa will be trying to break the Guinness World Record for the world's largest Drum Circle. In order to break the existing record (set in Turkey in 2002), we need to assemble about 2500 drummers, and play a rhythmic "piece" for about 5 minutes. After the record attempt there is going to be a big ass jam for an hour or so. Many of us will be coming up from Toronto and we hope to connect with some of the Ottawa crowd and make a weekend of it. Hope to see you all there. RL |

Space impact 'saved Christianity'
By Dr David Whitehouse Did a meteor over central Italy in AD 312 change the course of Roman and Christian history? A team of geologists believes it has found the incoming space rock's impact crater, and dating suggests its formation coincided with the celestial vision said to have converted a future Roman emperor to Christianity.

Astrological Attributions of the Twelve Tribes of Israel By: David Godwin Ever since the doctrine of sympathies was propounded by the Greeks and popularized in the Renaissance by Agrippa, there has been a great deal of emphasis in esoteric circles on establishing sets of correspondences. |

A NOTE: For the past two and a half months I have been updating the site weekly. For the duration of the summer season updates will be irregular. As I find time, and content I will update it. Rest assured once the festival season is over and the work load at my day job (Which is primarily seasonal.) tails off a bit I will be going back to a weekly update format. In the meantime check back once and a while and I'll try and keep it entertaining. BB&93' Rob |
