The Scallae Iacobae Purification is a very elaborate pan-traditional ceremony that involves some unorthodox ritual tools. The ritual is one of the only ceremonies that entwines a traditional execution of a Purification, while accurately prospecting and establishing Cardinal and Zodiacal points around a circle. On the surface is the interplay between the Ancient Egyptian gods Osiris, Isis, Set, and Horus, which from different view points seems an elegant and involved ritual or a timeless Mystery Play. With practice and study, however, one gains an understanding of the subtler and farther reaching symbolism and universal dynamics within the Officer's roles and in the placement of objects and the tools themselves. Within the ritual can be found the Qabalistic Tree of Life reflected in such a way as to connect the macrocosm with the microcosm.
